Wando Arboretum (Director Jin Ho-chun) has announced that it will open its outdoor exhibition facilities for free from the 9th to the 12th, during the Lunar New Year holiday.
The purpose of this free opening is to provide an opportunity for homecoming and tourist visitors to enjoy forest rest in a subtropical forest and walk through the beautiful scenery of the arboretum to create precious memories.
Major facilities to be opened include 31 specialized gardens, a subtropical greenhouse, the Sangwangbong hiking trail, and the subtropical forest exploration trail.
However, indoor facilities such as the Forest Museum and Forest Exhibition Hall will not be opened.
Wando Arboretum is the largest subtropical forest arboretum in Korea with an area of 2,033 hectares. A total of 765 species of native plants, including red oak, camellia, and yellow bark, are distributed, allowing visitors to experience a heavenly natural landscape where evergreen forests and clean seas are harmonized.
Director Jin Ho-chun of Wando Arboretum said, "During the Lunar New Year holiday, I hope that you will strengthen family affection and relieve stress from the city at Wando Arboretum, the largest subtropical forest in Korea."
